Adrian
Not bashing for the sake of it - but really think we need a new keeper.

Whilst I love his enthusiasm for the club, I find him so suspect. Decent enough shot stopper - but I think longer term we need a safer pair of hands.

He seems to do these over exuberant dives that get absolutely no where near the ball

Re: Adrian
won't get much credit, but he made 2 key saves today, kept us in it.

just for the record;

PASSHUN + CLAPPING FANS + LOVING THE CLUB

doesn't equal - GOOD GOALKEEPER

Re: Adrian
Dont forget he was number 2 at Real Betis for over 10 years and only had 1 season as there first team keeper. Technically he is still a newbee. This is now his second or third proper season so I would definitely stick with him as he can only improve with experience and playing first team football.

Re: Adrian
Getting Cech in on loan would not help us in the long term.

Give Adrian a chance. If we need to replace him next season then at least make it a permanent replacement.

Lily

he's only 32, would make a huge difference to us, being a decent keeper is not just about extravagant dives and clapping the fans.

Re: Adrian
Fuck Cech!

Five or six years ago, perhaps, but I wouldn't feel comfortable dropping a young upcoming keeper, who, though not perfect, is still pretty decent, and improving with experience, AND seems to absolutely love playing for West Ham......for an aged, been there done that, heart forever Fulham Road chelsea legend with a blue flag sticking out his arse.

Stand by our man for now. By the end of the season we will know a bit better.

Re: Adrian
Petr Cech is bench warming at Chelsea surely they would consider a loan after all he'd be playing against their rivals.

Re: Adrian
David James was the bollox for us. Thought he was a great keeper.

In terms of who I'd get in, not sure. Keeper seems to go on forever these days, so if Cech wanted first team football, I'd look at him (appreciate there is probably zero chance of that happening). Vorm would've been a good signing instead of him sitting on Spurs bench.

All Keepers make mistakes not convinced Adrian is any worse than David James who had some right howlers in the Roedor years http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuZm-53v96k

Rob Green

Who Do you suggest ? I can't think of any Keepers that are world class that are not tied up into long contracts

Re: ADRIAN
PASSHUN

When will knobs start to realize there is absolutely no correlation to being a good goalkeeper and the PASSHUN he shows toward the fans.

I didn't start this thread just to dig out someone. I was merely stating , that at the moment, he is the weakest link.

We've had some decent keepers over the years. David James, Robert Green even Shaka Hislop to an extent.

I just feel Jussi and Adrian have too many slip ups between them.

Mark my words - Adrian will be the worst keeper in the Champions League next season.

He's a ood keeper, but we are turning into a very good side. So fuck him and get Cech in January.
Simple :O)

Re: Adrian
He hasn't had a great season so far, but it is still early days. He was great last season, but it's a situation that needs an eye kept on.

I would pick him over Jaaskerlinen though.

Decent stopper, only being playing since New Year and will get better with time. We have a young team for the first time in years and he's very much part of it.

Re: Adrian
We need a solid, reliable keeper who does the simple things so well you just don't notice. That brings confidence to those in front. He's passionate and a good back up and great to have in the squad but with a top keeper and another top centre back we are really going to push on. We have time though and should enjoy this for what it is, performances above expectation. Adrian certainly doesn't deserve some of the shit comments coming his way now.
